We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of the testing and commissioning for the 220 kV line bay equipment replacement at Farrell and Sheffield substations. This significant project marks a key achievement for our team, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome!
Our dedicated team led the charge for the testing and commissioning phases, ensuring that every piece of equipment met the highest standards before being integrated into the power transmission network.
The process involved meticulous planning and precise execution. Including a well-coordinated 4-day outage to set up temporary bypass arrangements, allowing us to decommission the old bays effectively. The rigorous testing phase included an HV withstand test, ensuring that all equipment was thoroughly vetted for readiness.
Following successful site acceptance testing (SAT), we adeptly managed the final 4-day integration outage. This involved removing the temporary 220 kV bypass arrangements and commissioning the new equipment with final protection settings and bay controller configurations.
Our hard work and expertise paid off, resulting in a smooth outage process and a more reliable power transmission system.
