While this is understandable from a programme perspective, it creates a structural conflict: the same team that built the system is verifying it meets specification. This independent validation is increasingly required by asset owners, lenders, and network operators as a condition of grid connection approval.

Renewable energy projects typically require Omicron CMC 356 or CMC 500 relay test sets for protection testing across multiple relay manufacturers, Omicron CPC 100 for transformer and CT ratio verification, AEMC earth testers for grid resistance testing, and Megger insulation testers for cable and switchgear validation. Megavar provides all of this equipment as part of our commissioning service, and it is also available for hire from our national fleet.
