All Megavar test equipment is maintained under a documented calibration programme. Instruments are calibrated either by external calibration laboratories or in-house against reference standards that are themselves laboratory-calibrated, with measurement traceable to Australian national measurement standards held by the National Measurement Institute. A current calibration certificate is available on request. The CMC 500 is Omicron’s multi-phase protection relay test set for modern secondary systems: numerical protection relays, IEDs and substation automation. With IED Scout included, it handles IEC 61850 environments alongside conventional secondary injection, which makes it the right hire for digital substation commissioning as well as routine relay maintenance testing.
