Megavar engineers use this unit on commissioning projects across Australia. Hire it from a team that knows it inside out.
All Megavar test equipment is maintained under a documented calibration programme. Instruments are calibrated either by external calibration laboratories or in-house against reference standards that are themselves laboratory-calibrated, with measurement traceable to Australian national measurement standards held by the National Measurement Institute. A current calibration certificate is available on request. If your project requires a specific calibration interval, test standard, or documentation for a client submission, tell us at enquiry on 1300 730 499 and we will confirm what applies before you commit.
Have a setup or application question about this instrument? Talk directly to a Megavar commissioning engineer — no call centre, no guesswork.
It performs controlled discharge tests on battery banks to measure their true capacity and runtime under load. This confirms whether batteries meet operational standards.
It is suitable for testing lead-acid, NiCd, and Li-ion battery banks in UPS, substation DC systems, emergency power, and telecom backup applications.
It supports 12–500 V systems, delivering up to 220 A in standalone mode. Higher current can be achieved by connecting additional load units (e.g. Torkel 820 or TXL).
Yes. When paired with BVM modules, the Torkel 930 can log individual cell voltages during discharge, helping identify weak cells before failure.
Yes. It features onboard data logging and supports USB export or direct PC connection. Test data can be analysed with PowerDB Lite software.
