All Megavar test equipment is maintained under a documented calibration programme. Instruments are calibrated either by external calibration laboratories or in-house against reference standards that are themselves laboratory-calibrated, with measurement traceable to Australian national measurement standards held by the National Measurement Institute. A current calibration certificate is available on request. If your project requires a specific calibration interval, test standard, or documentation for a client submission, tell us at enquiry on 1300 730 499 and we will confirm what applies before you commit.

It compensates reactive power when testing capacitive components such as voltage transformers, long cables, or capacitor banks using the CPC 100. This allows the CPC to deliver higher output voltages without waveform distortion.
No. The CR500 is only required when testing VTs or other capacitive devices that exceed the reactive power handling limits of the CPC 100 alone. For small or low-capacitance loads, it may not be necessary
It connects directly to the CPC 100’s output and is automatically detected by Omicron’s PTM software. It supports the CPC by reducing the reactive burden during AC voltage output.
No. The CR500 is designed specifically for use with the Omicron CPC 100 and is not compatible with other test systems.
No. It uses simple plug-and-play connectors and is controlled entirely through the CPC 100 and PTM interface.
The hire includes the CR500 unit, high-voltage rated cables, instruction sheet, and transport case. It can be hired standalone or alongside a CPC 100 system.
